This smoothie is another installment in my series of recipes that are packed with nutrients but come together in 5 minutes for a quick breakfast on the go.
There are only 3 ingredients so it is easy to prepare. I am trying to get back into the habit of having a smoothie for breakfast every day instead of skipping the meal (which is what I have been doing during the week) or eating something that doesn’t fill me up and give me what I need to get through the morning.
Adding “greens” to a smoothie are something that I think most people hesitate about. This packs in the greens without the texture of the actual lettuce, so it is a good transition into the green smoothie for someone who is skeptical.
The biggest flavor in this smoothie is the kiwi. I used one whole, fresh kiwi. I diced it up and added to the blender with the other ingredients.
The liquid base is V8 juice that has several things in it. See below.
Kiwi Green Smoothie
Prep Time: 5 minutes Total Time: 5 minutes
1 1/2 cups V8 Sweet Greens Juice
- Peel and chop kiwi and add to blender with other ingredients.
- Blend and serve. Add 5-6 ice cubes if you want it to be chilled without having to chill it.
