September 9th would have been my Grandpa’s 101st birthday. He was and is still my hero. Every Sunday night dinner when we went out to eat, he would order applesauce. Even though I could have ordered my own applesauce.. even though he could have ordered me my own serving of applesauce.. even though it was his.. he always shared if I wanted a bit. This is important because applesauce was one of his favorite parts of the meal. He would sometimes add cinnamon. It was my favorite way to eat applesauce.
Now, as an adult, every time I eat or make applesauce I think of him. Since September 9th was his birthday, I felt compelled to make a homemade applesauce.
What better way to make it than the Instant Pot? It is quick, healthy and just awesome.
